Award for dog bag scheme
Dog fouling scheme scoops national award
An innovative local scheme to help make sure dog owners clean up after their pets has won a national award.
Swale Borough Council’s TiksPac scheme has won the Best Community and Neighbourhood Initiative at the prestigious Association for Public Service Excellence (APSE) Awards.
The awards recognise excellence in local government frontline services across the UK.
The TiksPac scheme involved 30 stations being installed at popular dog-walking locations across the borough, to provide dog walkers with free dog waste bags to pick up after their pets.
